This maternity bat box is made out of plywood with kerf saw cuts on the back chamber and plastic mesh designed specifically for bats on the other chambers to provide climbing and roosting support for the bats. The chambers run parallel to the back of the box. This box is unpainted.
 
There are four variations for this box on how to attach it to a structure:
1- a piece of wood attached to the four corners of the box (pictured) 
2- two pieces of wood that protrude out both sides of the box (pictured)
3- one piece of wood that is attached to the center of the box and protrudes above and below the box
4- no wood pieces, you provide your own attachment method, such as, brackets you attach to the box after purchase
